ABOUT THIS PROJECT

“Bow Chaser” was written for either Guitar Quartet, or ensemble. The challenge I set myself was NOT to use the guitars as percussion instruments as I had for Tantra, Cumba-Quín, and Yambé. It was becoming something to fall back on, and I was concerned with making music using just the notes. This seafaring piece is the result of a commission by the New Mexico Classical Guitar Festival, and dedicated to Mickey Jones.
